East Washington School Corporation in conjunction with the Washington County Health Department is  offering a vaccination clinic  at the High school cafeteria for students that are not up-to-date on their vaccinations of Varicella, meningococcal, or Tdap. The dates are Oct 27th and 28th 1-5 pm.

Correction on Prevent Child Abuse fundraiser PDF Print E-mail

Washington County Prevent Child Abuse is holding a hog and weenie roast fundraiser on October 28 at 6 p.m. at Southern Hills Church, not Oct. 9 as it was reported in the Sept. 29 issue of The Washington County Editon.
Tickets are now available for $10 per person or you can sponsor a table for $100 and receive eight tickets.
YouthFirst of Washington County will be holding a silent auction that evening along with PCA will have a dessert auction.

SHS girls' soccer team slays Lady Dragons PDF Print E-mail

In what can only be described as a nailbiter, the Salem Girls soccer team defeated the visiting Silver Creek Dragons in a double penalty kick shootout for a conference win.

Salem, last-year’s Mid-Southern Conference co-champion, has struggled this year with only one win and five losses.

After blowing out the first three opponents they faced to open the 2010 season, West Washington looked to have one of the tougher contests on their hands Friday against visiting Perry Central.
Entering the game, the Senators hadn’t beaten Commodores since 2000. That’s where the streak ended.
The Senators used another strong passing performance by Kendal Rosenbaum, who threw for more than 400 yards, and a stingy defense to shutdown the Commodores.
