Michael Baird, West Lafayette, Ind., has been selected as a member of the 2012-2013 Agriculture Future of America (AFA) Student Advisory Team. Baird, along with eight other college students from seven states, serves as an ambassador for the organization and will help to develop the strategic direction for the organization in 2012. Members also help plan and deliver the AFA Leaders Conference.

Indiana students were successful at the 2012 Kenneth E. Behring National History Day Contest, which took place June 10-14 at University of Maryland at College Park near Washington D.C.
The Kenneth E. Behring National History Day Contest is the final stage of a series of contests at local and state levels. Of the 58 Indiana students in attendance, eight were finalists including three second-place winners.
