The trial of Tammy Spengler began last week in Washington Circuit Court.
Spengler is facing two counts of murder, two counts of aiding murder and one county of invasion of privacy.
Jury selection started May 9 and wrapped up that day.

Benefit for storm victims this weekend at Salem Speedway PDF Print E-mail

Lots of benefits have taken place to help those affected by the tornadoes on March 2, but none have been in the works longer than the two day music festival planned this Friday and Saturday at Salem Speedway.
One of the event’s organizers, Eric Ham, said he started putting this together on March 3, the day after the devestating storms moved through the region.
The intial idea has blossomed into a two day event with more than 30 bands on three stages at one of the most famous race tracks in the country.

WCACT show this weekend PDF Print E-mail

Washington Country Actors Community Theatre (WCACT) will treat audiences to a generous helping of comedy this week with its upcoming presentation of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest. The show opens on Thursday, May 10, with additional performances on Friday, May 11, and during the following weekend on Friday and Saturday evenings (May 18 and 19). The single Sunday afternoon show is on May 20 at 2 p.m. All evening shows begin at 7:30.
