Last Thursday night at 10 beautiful young ladies took to the stage at Providence High School’s Robinson Performing Arts Center, all dreaming of the same outcome, to be crowned Miss Clark County 2009.
The girls were interviewed by the pageant judges on Thursday afternoon. During the pageant the girls were judged on professional wear and evening gown competition. The evening also highlighted entertainment from Indiana United Dance Team, 2005 Miss Clark County Raneigh Prall and Amon Prall and 2007 Miss Clark County Kelsey Abbott.
Charlie Jenkins from Clear Channel Radio again entertained the audience as the Master of Ceremony.
After the competition the judges had the always difficult decision of crowning the new Miss Clark County and her court.
After the intermission the audience of moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, friends and boyfriends filed back into the Robinson Performing Arts Center anxiously awaiting the moment they had all been waiting for.
Then the announcement came. Amy Hermann was crowned Miss Clark County 2009 by last year’s queen, Whitney Popp. Hermann is the 18 year old daughter of Gary and Janine Hermann.
