Sellersburg Police Chief Russ Whelan now looking for new Reserves PDF Print E-mail

Sellersburg Police Chief Russ Whelan has announced his intention to add reserve officers to the department.
Interested citizens are encouraged to obtain an application from the Sellersburg Police Department located at 101 S. New Albany Street in Sellersburg. Applications may be received from Deputy Chief Donald Ross Jr. or Administrative Assistant Patty Clapp Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The deadline for applications is Friday, March 4.

The Charlestown Police Department is warning the local residents of recent phone scams that have been reported to the police.
According to Charlestown Police Sgt. Darren Baker, the department has been receiving calls they have determined to be scams in the last week.

Local couple making Sundays special in New Washington PDF Print E-mail

Walking through the huge, beautiful wooden doors of A Step Back, you can instantly tell you are in for something special. Adorning the walls are pictures of time gone by, along with glass cases with heirlooms that have special meaning to families in northern Clark County.
A Step Back was originally the schoolhouse in New Washington. The building was built in 1894 and sat vacant for many, many years. Sitting right across the street from The New Washington State Bank on E. Main Street in New Washington, many area residents would drive around the bank parking lot and wonder what would happen to the piece of northern Clark County history.
