The summer has brought high heat and humidity to the local area. The long summer days and nights always give local residents the perfect reason to spend some time relaxing by the pool, pond, creek or even splashing around in a splash park. Many have kiddie pools sitting in the back yard for the little ones to find some fun and relief from the temperatures.

The planning committee for Sellersburg Celebrates invites the public to the Silver Creek Township Park for the 2016 festival! The festival which happens the third week in August each year will take place on August 25-27. It’s an amazing time to meet your neighbors, enjoy live music and good food, and walk through the craft booths.
A few years ago the local color guard gave their service to a fallen friend. The final resting place was the Otisco Cemetery where one member of the color guard noticed a piece for a memorial service was missing. There was no flag or flag pole.
On September 9, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office received information of two subjects that were allegedly wanted for escaping from Waukesha County Wisconsin were attempting to elude law enforcement at a residence in Memphis.
