Charlestown man arrested in murder for hire plot PDF Print E-mail
On January 2, at approximately 9:30 p.m. Charlestown Police Department’s Special Response and K-9 Teams were assisted by the A.T.F. in the arrest of 23 year old Kristopher Lee Washington of Charlestown in a case that began approximately two weeks ago as an undercover Charlestown Police narcotics sting inside a Charlestown apartment complex.

On Tuesday morning, December 10 shortly before 3 a.m., Trooper Rob Caudill and Trooper Nathan Abbott of the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg arrested Donald Eugene York, Jr., 47, of Lexington, Indiana, and Amy Michelle Hether, 39, of Charlestown, for numerous drug related offenses.

Silver Creek Middle School will host its annual Chris Jones Memorial

Basketball Tournament on Saturday, December 14. Basketball action will begin at 9 a.m. with the Silver Creek Middle School seventh grade boys playing Charlestown Middle School, and the eighth grade will follow. A match-up between the Brownstown and North Harrison seventh and eighth grade boys will tip off at approximately 11:45 a.m. Play will continue throughout the day with consolation and championship games.
