Reservations being taken for adventure trip to Lincoln Amphitheatre
A trip is planned for Friday, June 22 to Lincoln State Park in Lincoln City, Indiana to enjoy the world premiere of A. Lincoln: A Pioneer Tale, a two-act musical enhanced with an original score of 10 songs designed to entertain and educate audiences of all ages about Abraham Lincoln’s journey from an Indiana pioneer to President of the United States. It is 1816, and Thomas, Nancy, Sarah and a young Abraham Lincoln move to the Southern Indiana wilderness looking for new opportunities. Amidst the hope of a new life, Abe’s mother Nancy sings a powerful song about moving on to Indiana and never looking back.
12th annual Founders Day to celebrate “Small Town...BIG Dreams...BRIGHT FUTURE!”

The 12th annual Founders Day will be held Friday and Saturday, June 22 and 23 on the city square in Charlestown. This will be the second year the festival will be held on the square. Chairman of this year’s festival, Donna Coomer, said she received many compliments last year after the festival was moved from Greenway Park due to construction in the park. The theme for this year will be “Small Town...BIG Dreams...BRIGHT FUTURE!”
