Charlestown native Keith McDonald was sworn in on January 17 as the new Chief of Police for the Charlestown Police Department. McDonald named former K-9 Officer Jason Broady as his new Assistant Chief.

Silver Creek looking to defend Sectional 30 championship PDF Print E-mail

The Silver Creek Lady Dragons are looking to defend their Sectional title. Last year the Lady Dragons traveled down State Road 403 to Mid Southern Conference rival Charlestown and captured the Sectional title. This year, the same could happen as the Lady Pirates again are hosting Sectional 30.

Lady Pirates looking to take Sectional 30 in front of home crowd PDF Print E-mail

The Charlestown Lady Pirates are looking to capture the Sectional 30 title in front of their own fans as they will host this year’s Class 3A Sectional.
Charlestown is heading into Sectional play at 3-14 overall and 1-6 in Mid Southern Conference play (at press time). The Lady Pirates have enjoyed wins over Henryville, Clarksville and Salem. Charlestown has suffered losses at the hands of Southwestern, Corydon Central (in overtime), New Washington, Austin, Scottsburg, Silver Creek (in the Charlestown Holiday Tournament Championship game), Floyd Central, Mitchell, Silver Creek, Jeffersonville, Brownstown Central, Eastern, Providence and New Albany.

Five Clark County residents arrested for Prescription Fraud related charges PDF Print E-mail
