A local family spent many hours bringing smiles to faces of friends and family, and even made friends from complete strangers with the family business. Pirates start slow then roll to 47-20 MSC win PDF Print E-mail

The Pirates won their second straight MSC (Mid Southern Conference) game Friday night, in front of a packed Bone Yard and very spirited student section. The Pirates started their game with North Harrison, ending the first two Cougar drives with a pair of Eli Daniel interceptions; however fumbled the ball three times in the first half.

Pirate Fun Run 5K and Kiddie Run to benefit Connor Aaron PDF Print E-mail

Connor Aaron is a 10 year old boy fighting Cystic Fibrosis.  Connor was initially diagnosed when he was just 2 months old.  Since then, his family has continued to strive to bring joy, happiness and quality to Connor’s life because each and every day he is innocently fighting a battle he can never win.  This amazing fourth grader loves sports, especially basketball and football.  This past school year, Connor made the cross country, track and basketball teams at Jonathan Jennings Elementary School where he is a student.  He even played for a travel basketball team.  Connor is stringently monitored, and due to some limitations tends to miss practices and games at times.  However, because he absolutely loves athletics, his family supports his wishes 100 percent of the time and  will never discourage him from anything—despite the physical difficulties that he will certainly endure.

Local family hosting fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Association this Saturday PDF Print E-mail
A local family is working to improve the life of those affected with Alzheimer’s after losing their mother in 2011. Sarah Rose Hall was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2010. Her family now honors her with an annual fundraiser, the Hall Family Alzheimer’s Fundraiser.
