Clark Memorial is offering a flu shot clinic on Thursday, October 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the main lobby of the hospital. The cost is $15, cash or check only. No insurance or Medicare will be accepted. Adults and children 12 and older are welcome. A parent or guardian must be present for those under 18.

Walking into the Trinity Fellowship Hall (the old Ag Building) in New Washington on the third Wednesday of the month, you know something special is going on. The hall is filled with seniors playing cards, bingo, sitting around catching up and just having fun. Many are enjoying the morning and others are busy working around in the kitchen. The smells of a delicious lunch begin to fill the air and you know it’s a great combination of food, fellowship and fun.

Richard Collins of Clark County was sentenced for securities fraud and other securities related charges.  Collins was sentenced to 6 years in the Indiana Department of Correction and ordered to pay $250,000 in restitution.

Indiana Department of Transportation  (INDOT) anticipated reopening the on-ramp at Memphis Road to southbound Interstate 65 at Exit 16 on September 14. The entrance ramp closed September 6 to accommodate mainline paving at that location. Indiana’s $67 million Major Moves 2020 project in Clark County is reconstructing the roadway and adding travel lanes on I-65 from 2.8 miles south of S.R. 160 near Memphis Road to 1.02 miles north of S.R. 60 just past Old State Road 311.
