D.I.A.P.E.R. Project to host diaper drive during National Diaper Need Awareness Week PDF Print E-mail

Since March 18 Community Presbyterian Church in Charlestown has hosted a D.I.A.P.E.R (Diapering Infants and Providing Emergency Resources) Project each Wednesday at the church. Since the doors of the diaper ministry have opened they have averaged helping 50 clients a month.

Morgan Jackson of Charlestown was crowned Miss Indiana 2015 and Audrey Ferguson of Evansville was crowned Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen recently at the Zionsville High School Performing Arts Center in Zionsville, Indiana.

Lady Pirate for Life and former Charlestown Softball standout Alli Webster, who just completed her second year at Wabash Valley Junior College, is now headed to NCAA Division II Softball powerhouse Carson-Newman University.     Carson-Newman has an enrollment of approximately 2,000 and is located in Jefferson City, Tennessee; 30 minutes northeast of Knoxville. The Softball program, over the past six years, has consistently averaged over 30 wins per season as well as a regular in the NCAA Southeast Regional.
