A large number of volunteers in the community came together for one day to help others at United Way of Scott County’s 2010 Annual Day of Caring on Saturday, May 15th.

Fairview Christian Church will be hosting Vacation Bible School June 21-25 from 6 to 8:pm nightly for children preschool age through 6th grade.

Scottsburg High School Class of 2010 one of largest – and latest – to graduate PDF Print E-mail

Over 190 seniors at Scottsburg High School are preparing to don their robes and accept their diplomas at the commencement program planned for 7 p.m. on Friday, June 18.
With the number expected to walk across the stage that evening, and the date finally selected for graduation to occur, the Class of 2010 will be remembered as one of the largest and the class who matriculated a lot later than normal. Seniors were to have originally graduated on June 11, but that date was changed to June 18 after students lost so many school days to weather-related closings in 2009-2010, none of which were excused by state officials.
