Person of interest in custody in five rural Franklin County deaths PDF Print E-mail

Early this morning, detectives and troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Versailles, with assistance from the Great Lakes U. S. Marshalls Task Force and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department arrested David E. Ison, 46, from Glenwood, IN for Attempted Armed Robbery, B Felony. A warrant was issued yesterday out of the Ripley County Circuit Court after a five month investigation began on May 9th of this year related to an attempted Robbery at the Triplett’s Drug Store in Osgood, IN. In that attempted Armed Robbery, David E. Ison allegedly attempted to rob the pharmacy and displayed a gun. He escaped the scene but left some of his DNA that was later collected by Crime Scene Technicians from the Indiana State Police Post at Versailles. The DNA was analyzed by the Indiana State Police Laboratory and a positive identification of David E. Ison was made.
