Driving conditions were less than ideal on State Road 56 East early Friday morning, February 1, and combined to help cause a Deputy woman to crash her pickup truck. The accident happened minutes before 5 a.m. about 1,300 feet west of the S.R. 56 T intersection with State Road 3. Iona R. Reynolds, 57, told Deputy James Shelton that she had been traveling west when she lost control of the pickup. The truck began to spin, she said, and eventually struck an embankment with its front bumper.
Reynolds was aided at the scene by Scott County EMS technicians. She suffered back pain and was transported to Scott Memorial Hospital.
