Same suspect sought in similar bank robberies in Crothersville, Seymour PDF Print E-mail
The same man has been sought since Thursday, August 28, for his involvement in bank robberies in Crothersville and Seymour. The suspect first visited the Centra Credit Union on South Jackson Park Drive in Seymour around 10:45 a.m. that Thursday. He was described as wearing a blue plaid shirt with a collar, a camo ball cap and camo shorts. He had short “buzzed” red hair. He fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. About an hour later, he walked into the Peoples Bank, 310 North Armstrong Street, Crothersville. This time, the description of the man was similar, but the suspect was wearing a “Mr. Rogers” t-shirt with a camo ball cap and shorts. He was described as 5-8 to 6 feet in height and from 175 to 200 pounds.
The suspect did not display a weapon in either robbery.

Charges have been filed against Jonathan Lee “Chisel” Chilton, 29, for his alleged actions when the man, wanted on warrant for a shooting incident in Jackson County, was found and arrested in a Scottsburg restaurant parking lot.
