Bowl for Kids’ Sake pushes past previousYear for Big Brothers Big Sisters PDF Print E-mail

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Indiana saw an increase in the amount raised at the 18th Annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake event in comparison to 2015. The event was held on March 13 at Scottsburg Lanes. Scott County raised over $12,500 for BBBS mentoring programs in Scott County through the help of 110 bowlers, 21 corporate sponsors, and 12 personal sponsors. Bowl for Kids’ Sake is the signature fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Indiana.

Tiffany Barrett will be the new face leading the way at Vienna-Finley Elementary School. She is replacing Mr. Micah Heath, who recently took another position.  On Tuesday, July 21, the Scott County School District 2 school board approved Barrett for the role of principal.

Scott County District 2 Superintendent Dr. Marc Slaton has announced the hiring of Brandon Tormoehlen as the coach for the Scottsburg High School Warriors baseball program. Tormoehlen brings a wealth of coaching knowledge and experience to SHS; including 9 years at the collegiate, high school, and travel ball levels.
