The preliminary games left Borden and South Central (SC) in the final. Borden finished their season 19-1 to tie the ’64-’65 team for the best record in history for the school. The ’64-’65 team dropped their first game in the sectional in an open class state program. The current Borden team rolled past Lanesville and Rock Creek to get to the final to stand 21-1 to break the record. They still had more to accomplish as the defeated South Central in the final 71 to 51.

Goodwill of Southern Indiana, Inc. has issued vouchers to the Red Cross and the Salvation Army for the victims of Friday’s tornados. The vouchers will enable the tornado victims to come to all Southern Indiana Goodwill stores and obtain whatever items they need free of charge.

New Albany too quick, athletic for Floyd Central PDF Print E-mail

The Floyd Central boys’ basketball team went toe-to-toe for one quarter with New Albany in the first game of the Class 4A Sectional 15 at Seymour last week.
The Bulldogs, however, used an 11-2 run to take control of the game and never looked back in a 67-57 win.
New Albany led 23-13 when freshman Jeffrey Byrne drilled a three.
