The Borden Valley Days Festival is quickly approaching.  It has been expanded to a 2 day event starting on Friday June 8th.   Friday’s activities include a chicken barbeque sponsored by the Borden-Wood Township Fire Dept., Flea market/Community yard sale, Live Entertainment including Karoke, and Bingo.

Keeping Thunder Safe 2012 PDF Print E-mail


The annual air show and fireworks show, “Thunder Over Louisville” will take place at the riverfront on Saturday April 21st. With good weather crowds are expected to draw at least 500,000 people. The Indiana State Police and other local agencies will be working to make sure it stays safe on the Indiana side of the river.

Clark County property tax bills sent April 11 PDF Print E-mail

Clark County property tax statements were placed in the mail Wednesday, April 11, 2012 for the 2011 pay 2012 property taxes.   The due dates are May 10th, 2012 and November 13th, 2012. The first installment must be paid by May 10, 2012, although you may choose to pay both installments at the May 10, 2012 due date.  You will not receive a fall billing or tax due reminder for the November 13, 2012 payment due.

HCCF announces Lilly Scholarship Recipient PDF Print E-mail

One Harrison County student has been named a recipient of a four-year, full-tuition scholarship as the Harrison County Community Foundation 2012 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar.  Miranda Kaake will receive full tuition to the Indiana college of her choice and a $900 yearly stipend for required books and equipment.   Miranda intends to study Biology.
