Indiana’s top two youth volunteers of 2015, Makenzie Smith, 16, of Borden and Olivia Keith, 11, of Fishers, were honored in the nation’s capital last night for their outstanding volunteer service during the 20th annual presentation of The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. Makenzie and Olivia – along with 100 other top youth volunteers from across the country – each received $1,000 awards and personal congratulations from “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts at an award ceremony and gala dinner reception held at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History.

Former Director of Theatre Arts, Chris Bundy, is returning to Floyd Central this spring to direct Jim Leonard’s THE DIVINERS.  This Depression-era fable weaves the humorous, beautiful, and tragic into the story of a disturbed young boy and his friendship with a conflicted preacher in the fictional southern Indiana town of Zion.  This powerfully theatrical journey, both touching and heart-breaking, will be presented in Floyd Central’s intimate Studio One theatre.
