The Plan, which makes enhancements to expand access and the availability of Vote Centers following the May primary, was developed and approved by the Floyd County Election Board. The Board is comprised of Democrat appointee William Lohmeyer, Republican appointee Rick Fox, and Eurton.

The American Legion Post 42, Floyds Knobs, will be the site of Congressman Todd Young’s award presentation and reception to honor one of their Legionnaires and Board member, Col.(ret) Shirley M. Ohta, recipient of the 2014 Congressional Veterans Commendation for the 9th District.  Award presentation is slated for October 18, 1:00pm with a short reception to follow.  Post Commander Larry French extends the invitation to all of the American Legion Family, friends and family of Col. Ohta, and the general public…”as we honor Shirley for her contributions in service to her country and community.”

Clark County Health Department has been advised by the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) that they have identified a sample of mosquitoes infected with the West Nile Virus (WNV) in Clark County. The positive mosquito sample was collected by a representative of the Clark County Health Department during routine seasonal mosquito sampling in Clarksville, Indiana.
