The last time that the North Harrison Lady Cats captured a sectional crown, seniors Jourdan McAfee and Carlie Burson were in the fifth or sixth grade during the 2008-09 season. Now athletic director Hal Pearson was the coach of that team who defeated Crawford County 58-35 in the finals.

The Floyd County Sheriff Frank Loop recently welcomed four new officers to the force. Sheriff Frank Loop said that the officers were hired as replacements for the retirements of Sheriff Mills, Chief Heavrin and Capt. Jeff Topping. The other void came from the resignation of Officer Tim Berkenmeyer.
