Friday night saw a huge rivalry matchup between two teams with very high hopes for the season. The Floyd Central and Providence rivalry is not inclusive in just basketball but rather extends to every sport. The atmosphere of any rivalry game is special but the Floyd, Providence game is one that not many cannot beat.

The list is provided weekly by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department. Those listed, in most cases, are just facing charges, they are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Five FC Orchestra students named all state PDF Print E-mail

Five music students from Floyd Central High School performed in Fort Wayne last Saturday with the Indiana All-State Honors High School Orchestra.  Juniors John McCaffrey, Gunther Knotts, and Liam Flanigan; sophomore Peter Didelot, and senior David Kuo will be part of the orchestra, which is the final attraction at the Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA) state professional development conference.  The students had to submit extensive audition recordings in October, and were selected from a pool of applicants from across the state.
