The Floyd Central Emerald Guard is holding a yard sale to raise funds for this year’s marching band show entitled “Distorted”.  It will be held on Saturday, June 28 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Idealogy parking lot.  Idealogy is located at 6500 State Road 64 in Georgetown.

Are you already interested in sending children back to school?

How about sending them back with a new backpack filled with supplies?

The Pack the Bus Collaboration is in need of sponsors.

Hope Southern Indiana is once again coordinating the Pack the Bus Collaboration. Now in its 5th year, this collaboration works together to provide new backpacks and basic school supplies for NAFC School students in Grades K-8 who are eligible for the Federal Free Breakfast and Lunch Program.

With the beginning of the school year fast approaching, area parents are again facing the high cost of clothing their children for school. To help the residents of Clark, Floyd, Scott and Washington counties with part of the costs, The Salvation Army will be giving away clothing at their thrift store located at 528 Little League Blvd. in Clarksville.

Washington County man arrested for neglect of a dependant PDF Print E-mail

On March 18th of this year, a detective from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg was contacted by the Washington County Department of Child Services in reference to Paul Amburgey, 37, from Washington County allegedly providing controlled substances to his juvenile child. The report also stated Paul Amburgey was allegedly using the controlled substance with the same juvenile child.
