Goodwill of Southern Indiana, Inc. has issued vouchers to the Red Cross and the Salvation Army for the victims of Friday’s tornados. The vouchers will enable the tornado victims to come to all Southern Indiana Goodwill stores and obtain whatever items they need free of charge.
Hoosiers are known for their generosity and willingness to help in time of need and the need is great for our fellow Hoosiers in the south and southeast portions of the state that have been devastated by this past Friday’s string of tornados.
The Floyd Central boys’ basketball team went toe-to-toe for one quarter with New Albany in the first game of the Class 4A Sectional 15 at Seymour last week. The Bulldogs, however, used an 11-2 run to take control of the game and never looked back in a 67-57 win. New Albany led 23-13 when freshman Jeffrey Byrne drilled a three.
Floyd Central Theatre to add Additional Performance of “Seussical, the musical!”
Due to the cancellation of last Friday’s performance of “Seussical” by the Floyd Central Theatre Department, an additional performance has been added for the coming weekend. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 9th and 10th with performances on Sunday, March 11th at both 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. It should be noted that the added Sunday night performance starts a half hour earlier than normal evening performances.
