Merchants who were paid prior to Washington County Memorial Hospital filing bankruptcy are now being pressured to return that money.

Vendors who were paid received letters last week from Christine K. Jacobson with Katz and Korin Attorneys At Law demanding the return of the funds paid by the Washington County Memorial Hospital.

Errors played a big part in the baseball game Thursday afternoon between host North Harrison and Salem, which Salem won 8-7. North Harrison was tagged with six errors, and Salem was tagged with four miscues.

Salem Lions coach Jamie Wilson said his team has benn “plagued by errors” this season, and added, “when they come for us, they come in bunches.”

Two men receive 10-year sentences for December burglary PDF Print E-mail

The arm of the law is often long, but sometimes it can be just as swift. A burglary case that took less than two days to solve ended when two of the men involved took plea agreements.

Daniel Herndon and Tobias Lozano both received 10 years each in the Department of Corrections.

They were convicted of aiding a burglary, which is a B felony.

Free gospel concert at FBC of Jeffersonville PDF Print E-mail

Archie Watkins and the Smoky Mountain Reunion Quartet will be presenting a program of Gospel Music at the First Baptist Church, 2402 East Tenth Street (Highway 62) in Jeffersonville on April 29 at 7 p.m.

The group will consist of Archie Atkins, Troy Burns, Eddie Deitz, Marlin Shubert and Jack Laws. All are former members of The Inspirations.

The group has formed due to heavy demand and will perform a limited number of engagements this year.

Admission to the concert is free, but a free will offering will be taken.

Prior to the show at 6 p.m. there will be a church meal. The cost of the meal is $3 per person.
