On Wednesday, March 23, in the afternoon hours, troopers from the Indiana State Police Post in Sellersburg conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 150 at Cross Street in Greenville.
Troopers called for Indiana State Police K-9 “Kilo” to come to the scene.

When Salem High School football Head Coach Brian Motsinger stepped down following a win-less 2010 season, one of his assistants, Blair Thompson, had hopes of taking over the SHS program.
Thompson, however, reevaluated that dream when he caught wind that his beloved Lions could possibly land Mo Moriarity to that position.  
“As soon as I heard that (Coach Mo) was remotely interested I begin telling people that we’ve got to make this happen,” Thompson said. “Opportunities like this don’t come around very often and I knew how great it would be for our school and community.”

Not many conferences in Indiana can boast of the coaching resumes offered by the coaches in the Mid Southern Conference.
Corydon Head Coach Darrin Ward has turned the Panther program into winners not once, but twice.
At Brownstown, no one has been as successful as Head Coach Reed May in the last decade.

Last summer Youth First hosted a training, Asset Champions, for counselors from all three school districts in the county to learn about the 40 Assets and techniques for empowering youth. 
“By empowering our youth our hope is to engage youth in every element of their lives…..academics, their community, relationships, exploring their passions, career exploration, building self-esteem and the list goes,” said Youth First Director Beth Armstrong.
One Asset Champion, Kate Jones, a counselor at Eastern High School took an unique approach.

Man shoots himself after altercation PDF Print E-mail

A domestic dispute turned violent last Friday when Jared Daulton allegedly turned the gun on himself and shot his arm with a .22 caliber rifle.
Dalton was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery, a Class A felony and Criminal Confinement, a Class D felony after an altercation with his wife..
According to the probable cause affidavit obtained from the Washington County Prosecutor Dustin Houchin, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy Jim Strange arrived at a house located on S.R. 135 North to check on a female who had called her mother.
