Down 10 points late in a first round game against Henryville in the First Harrison Bank Holiday Tournament, a three pointer from Laken White not only salvaged the game, but maybe the season.

The Eastern boys’ basketball team suffered two more losses last weekend, making their total from the season 0-4 heading into this weekend’s Washington County Holiday Tournament.

On Friday (Dec. 13) the Musketeers lost to visiting Crawford County 56-42.

The Washington County Family YMCA recently announced its upcoming events.

The following are those events:

ROOKIE BASKETBALL registration now open to Kindergarten, First, and Second grade boys and girls!  Practices and scrimmages will be held at the Salem High School Auxiliary Gymnasium on Sunday afternoons January 12th-February 16th.  Come out and learn the fundamentals needed to be a star player—on and off the court!  The cost is $40 for members, and $55 for non-members.

WCCF offers free Ivy Tech Classes PDF Print E-mail

The Washington County Community Foundation has partnered with Ivy Tech Southern Indiana to offer free college courses at the Washington County Learning Center during the spring semester. The for-credit classes will be offered free of charge to the first ten people who register, so interested individuals are encouraged to sign up right away.
