The Salem girls’ basketball team got their season underway on Saturday night, Nov. 5 at Seymour’s Lloyd E. Scott Gymnasium, but it was the homesteading Owls who took them out of their game with a 66-38 win.

After going 2-8 a year ago, the South Spencer football team has seen an improvement in the way they play this year and Eastern (Pekin) found out the hard way on Friday night, Oct. 28 in their Class A Sectional 40 semifinal game at home.
