At first glance, Proof, the next play to be presented by the Washington County Actors’ Community Theatre (WCACT), would appear to be about math. After all, a “proof” is a set of computations that prove a mathematical theorem. However, as director Mark Carter explained, the play “is not really about math.”

The Brownstown Central Braves’ Clay Brown threw for three touchdowns and 117 yards to beat the host Salem Lions, 35-7, in the sectional semi-finals. With the win, the Braves move on to play undefeated Charlestown Friday.
