SPD investigates juvenile stabbing PDF Print E-mail

A juvenile showed up at St. Vincent Salem Hospital Oct. 6 with a stab wound.
The hospital called the Salem Police Department and officers responded.
According to Salem Police Chief Scott Ratts, the injuries were not life threatening and since the case involved a juvenile, he couldn’t release any additional information.
The case is still under investigation.

Marc Cook, 33, of Salem was arrested over the weekend and charged with a Class D Felony of dissemination of matter harmful to a minor.
According to the probable cause affidavit obtained from the Washington County prosecutor’s office, Cook sent inappropriate pictures to a minor.

The Eastern High School football team made an effort Friday at Brownstown Central, but came up short to the Braves, 51-26.

In fact, the Musketeers more than held there own until Brownstown used a no-huddle offense that had the EHS defense at a loss.

Strange resigns as Delaney Park manager PDF Print E-mail

The Delaney Creek Park Board held a special meeting Tuesday evening at the county court house to accept the resignation of Park Manager Chris Strange.

The board met in executive session at 7:30 p.m., holding a public meeting immediately following at 8 p.m.

Board President Chuck Williams opened the meeting and then turned it over to attorney Drew Wright. Wright said Strange gave notice of his resignation Sept. 28, with an effective date of December 31, 2010.

The board approved the resignation unanimously.

An autopsy was performed this morning (Sept. 25), at the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville, on a male subject involved in the bank robbery and pursuit ending in death.
