Commissioner, David Brown, announced a joint effort between Washington County Government and the Washington County Historical Society to create a Friends of the Washington County Courthouse Committee to seek donations and raise funds to help defray the cost of renovation of the County Courthouse.  The Courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was recently declared one of the ten most endangered historic places in Indiana by Indiana Landmarks.

Four divisions are set to share the Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery tracks on Saturday night, June 18th for the JayC Food Stores Midwest 150.  The full night of racing action will feature the super-fast JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour late models and the always exciting Lucas Oil Great American Stocks on the .555-mile high banks.  The O’Reilly Auto Parts Pure Stocks and the Salem Front Wheel Drive Stocks will provide the racing action on the quarter-mile infield oval.
