Clark County DUI Taskforce recognized by Governor’s Council
For their outstanding efforts in traffic safety, Clark County DUI Taskforce officers were awarded Best DUI Taskforce in the State of Indiana in the Medium Size Agency Division from the Governor’s Council on Impaired & Dangerous Driving.
Charlestown Middle School visited by national and world educators
Charlestown Middle School (CMS) was chosen as one of only two Indiana schools for a recent visit by the National Middle Schools Association (NMSA). Educators and administrators from around the country made a special visit to CMS during their national conference held in Louisville. CMS was chosen for its One to One Laptop program. The educators listened to a presentation given by CMS principal Joyce Traub and Technology Coordinator Ken Watson, detailing how the program works and the journey to get the program implemented. Charlestown Mayor Bob Hall also spoke to those gathered.
Indiana State Police increase patrols for upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday
In an effort to make the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday travel period safer, Indiana State Police along with nearly 250 other Indiana law enforcement agencies will be participating in the annual Click it or Ticket - Safe Family Travel campaign.
The Henryville Lady Hornets went up against the New Washington Lady Mustangs in action on Friday, November 18. The New Washington team started on off the first quarter of the game with 18-12 lead over the Lady Hornets.
