Four more arrested for theft in tornado disaster areas PDF Print E-mail

Late Friday afternoon, March 23, in the area of Voyles Road just north of State Road 60 in Washington County, Darrell and Debora Crone were arrested by Indiana State Police and incarcerated in the Washington County Jail for theft after it was discovered they had allegedly stole scrap metal from different locations in the tornado disaster area in Washington County.  Once at the jail it was discovered that Debora Crone was also in possession of a legend drug and in possession of controlled substances.

Lady A Makes Plans to Own Prom Night with Henryville High School! PDF Print E-mail

Three weeks ago, Lady Antebellum began a contest offering fans a chance to Own The Prom Night with a private concert at their prom this spring. After carefully reviewing each submission, the trio unanimously chose the community of Henryville, IN for their story, resilience and unity following devastating tornadoes earlier this month. Not only was their own submission moving, but schools across the country spontaneously submitted videos campaigning on behalf of Henryville High School in support of Henryville receiving the special concert, including the winning submission from Silver Creek High School.

Guess what showed up at the Mid-America Science Park in Scottsburg on Thursday afternoon, March 15?
A small caravan of a straight van and a semi-tractor-trailer along with a couple of other vehicles bearing staff and officials of Vigo County Schools and Staples, the national office supply company, beeped their horns as they arrived after a three-hour trip from Terre Haute.

Students at New Washington Elementary School exceed their Pennies for Patients goal PDF Print E-mail

The Student Council at New Washington Elementary School recently sponsored the school’s second annual participation in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients program. It is one of the LLS’s national School & Youth Programs that raises money to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma while providing information and support services to patients and their families.
