Three people were injured in recent vehicular accidents occurring in Scott County and in Scottsburg.
Two accidents, both of which occurred in October, were just released by the Sheriff’s Department.

Last Tuesday Clark County voters had their chance to voice their opinion for the leaders of Clark County and the country. Many voters were met with long lines to cast their ballots but were not deterred from waiting. Voters made their choices for the best person for the job from the local school board races to the State Governor race to the President.

The transformation is ongoing. The lights started to reappear, street lights will soon be covered in garland and Christmas flags, lights and decorations now fill the Charlestown square and now the most noticeable part of Greenway Park is the 52 foot white Christmas tree. Yes, it is that time of the year again, Charlestown is turning into the Christmas City.

CPD working to make Christmas merrier for local first graders PDF Print E-mail

The Charlestown Police Department is working to help make this year’s holiday season a little jollier for local first graders. Anthony Snell, the department’s Christmas With A Cop Coordinator, has been working diligently over the past few months on collecting donations and organizing this year’s event.  This program has been ongoing at the department for approximately 30 years.
