Silver Creek High School Theatre Department to present The Last Five Years PDF Print E-mail

Jason Robert Brown’s Drama Desk winner, The Last Five Years, is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their 20’s who fall in and out of love over the course of five years.

The show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

With a cast featuring Samantha Weathersby as Cathy, Sam Maxwell as Jamie, and an ensemble featuring Polly Croucher, Victoria Litzelswope, and Alex Sprinkle; this show is a fine piece of theatre that runs the gamut of human emotion causing you to laugh, cry, and everything in-between.

The Last Five Years runs December 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m, and December 14 at 3 p.m.

The show will be in the Silver Creek Elementary School Group Presentation Room, which is just inside door A, to the right. Seating is general admission. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
