‘Borrowed’ garage door opener key in Scottsburg house burglary PDF Print E-mail

A man who allegedly admitted to taking a garage door opener from a car has been charged in Scott Circuit Court with committing a house burglary.
Michael G. Dannheiser, 22, Scottsburg, faces a Class B felony charge of burglary and two Class D felonies of theft and receiving stolen property. He is accused of a May burglary of a Scottsburg home which he allegedly accessed by using the stolen garage door opener. He purportedly took the opener from a car owned by the homeowner’s son, who was watching the house for his mother, while she was away on a trip. Jewelry, watches and two televisions were among missing items reported.

A total of $61,685.85 was earned by 4-H’ers who entered their animals in the annual 4-H Livestock Auction on Friday evening, July 16, at the Scott County fairgrounds.
The crowd was in a good mood that night and delighted to honor several 4-H’ers who reached the end of their ten-year career in the Scott County program.
