All of us who know Ed Cozart knew that he is rather outstanding when it comes to telling a tale.
So it was with delight and pleasure that  several of us, who claim his friendship, were informed by Ed’s son, Eddie, late Friday night, August 5, that Ed won the 2011 Indiana State Fair Liars’ Contest.

Austin-Shortly before 7 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14, the Austin Police Department responded to 970 North First Street in Austin to a man that had been shot. When officers arrived they found a male victim shot in the leg. When officers asked the victim what happened he stated he and a female were asleep in the residence at 970 North First Street when someone allegedly made forced entry into the home and started shooting a firearm at them, striking him in the leg.

Several criminal charges filed against father after stand-off incident PDF Print E-mail

A domestic situation on Tuesday night, July 12, in a home on Allen Street in Scottsburg resulted in what is being described as a hostage situation, with an allegedly inebriated father refusing to allow officers access to his injured son.

Donald J. Grose, 30, was at his residence with his ten-year-old son that evening when Scottsburg police were dispatched around 5:30 p.m. to Allen Street. They were told by the boy's mother that Grose had threatened to hurt the child and kill himself.
