Crothersville Community School Registration is Thursday, July 21
The students at Crothersville Community School will hold their registration for kindergarten through the twelfth grade on Thursday, July 21, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The registration will take place at Crothersville High School. For additional information please call the school at 1-812-793-2051 for the junior-senior high school and 1-812-793-2622.
Classes will begin for students Tuesday, August 2.

Registration Dates & Times
Students who will attend Scott County School District 2 during the 2016-17 school year should register at their respective schools according to the schedule listed below.
Johnson Elementary (752-8923) - Monday, August 1,  2  to  7 p.m. and Tuesday, August 2, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m
Vienna-Finley Elementary (752-8925) Monday, August 1,  2  to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, August  2, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Lexington Elementary (752-8924) Tuesday, August 2, 2 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, August 3,  8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Scottsburg Elementary (752-8922)  Thursday, July 28,  2 to 7 p.m. and Friday, July 29,  8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Scottsburg Middle School (752-8926) Monday, August 1, 2 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, August 2,  8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Online Registration
Online registration will be open through your school’s website (www.scsd2.k12.in.us) from Sunday, July 10 through Sunday, July 24.  (You may also register online at the SCSD2 fair booth from 6-9 p.m. July 10-15.)  Parents must attend registration even if they have completed the school forms online; however, completing the forms online will speed up the process at the school considerably.  Parents new to Scott County School District 2 should attend the regular registration at the school their students will attend.  Parents with questions about which school their students will attend should contact the Central Office at 812-752-8921.

State Assistance
All Scott County School District 2 families will receive an application for Free & Reduced meals in the mail.  These applications should be filled out and returned before the registration process begins.  The applications also serve to determine whether or not a student is eligible for textbook rental assistance.  An application must be submitted to determine eligibility for assistance in the 2016-17 school year.  (If your household receives a separate notice of pre-certification, an application does not need to be completed.)

Immunization Requirements
State law requires that all students must be up-to-date on immunizations.  Parents of preschool, kindergarten, 1st and 6th grade students must provide an updated shot record by the first day of school.  New students to SCSD2 must bring up-to-date shot records by the first day of school.

**New Indiana Code requires students in the 12th grade to provide documentation of receiving a second MCV4 vaccine if their first MCV4 vaccine was given before the age of 16.  Students who received the first MCV4 vaccine on or after their 16th birthday have met the requirements.  Students who are not up-to-date on immunizations 20 days into the school year will not be able to attend school until proper immunization records are provided.

Tuesday, July 26, through Thursday, July 28, are the dates scheduled for parents/guardians of Austin schoolchildren to apply for textbook assistance and/or free or reduced cost meals in Scott School District 1 in Austin.

Households which currently receive Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) or Food Stamps for their children may have been direct certified. These families will need to complete applications for assistance only if they have not received a notice from the school corporation informing them that they will be provided with free meals and textbooks.

On Tuesday, July 26, staff will be available to help parents/legal guardians with applications for grades kindergarten through 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Austin Elementary School cafeteria.

On Wednesday, July 27, assistance with applications will be available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at both offices at Austin Middle School and Austin High School for students in grades 6 to 8 and 9 to 12.

On Thursday, July 28, hours at Austin Middle School will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. At Austin High School, hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

To apply, the following is needed:

Food Stamp or TANF case number if applicable. This is not the number on the applicant's Hoosier Works Card. If the number is unknown, the applicant must call 1-800-403-0864 to obtain the correct number.

•If there is no Food Stamp or TANF number, the applicant must supply the following:

•Name of each household member.

•Total income of each household member.

•Applicant's Social Security number.

If the parent/legal guardian does not submit an application to staff prior to the first day of school on Tuesday, August 2, parents will be responsible for any meal charges incurred.

New student pre-registration is:

TUESDAY, JULY 26

Parents/guardians must bring any school records, withdrawal forms and/or grade reports they have from their children's former schools at all registrations for new, incoming students.

New preschoolers and kindergartners who did not sign up during spring registrations for these grade levels and those students in grades 1 to 5 who are new to Scott School District 1 should register on Tuesday, July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the elementary cafeteria.

New 6th, 7th and 8th grade students will register on Wednesday, July 27, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Austin Middle School office.

New 9th to 12th graders should report from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school office on July 27.

Parents of ninth to 12th graders should accompany their students to these registrations to complete required forms.

Textbook and meal payments will be accepted as follows:

•Tuesday, July 26: Kindergartners to fifth graders from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the elementary cafeteria.

•Wednesday, July 27: 6th through 8th graders from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the AMS Middle School. 11th and 12th graders from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the AHS office.

•Thursday, July 28: 9th and 10th grades from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at AHS office. 6th to 8th grades from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the AMS office.

Textbook prices for 2016-2017 are $50 for Prosser Technical School students and $100 for students from kindergarten through 12th grades.

Cost of District 1 textbooks may be paid by cash, check or money order. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Scott County School District 1.

Meal money must be paid by the first day of school, August 2.

Breakfast is $1.00 per day for preschoolers through grade 12. Lunch is $2.10 per day for grades pre-school to 12.
