Lady Eagles ‘rammed’ by Paoli’s Lady Rams 84-64 on November 18 PDF Print E-mail

On Friday evening, November 18, the Austin Lady Eagles traveled to Paoli for their third game of the 2011-12 basketball season. After starting off with two wins, the ladies unfortunately could not continue the streak. The Eagles are no longer undefeated, as Paoli’s Lady Rams, ranked no. 11 in Class 2A, had the home court advantage and gave the no. 16 Lady Eagles their first loss 84-64. Losing the tip-off, the Lady Eagles couldn’t seem to a a hold on the game. Brenna Oeffinger made Austin’s first shot at 7:23 on the clock, and that was all the Eagles could do until Coach Jared Petersen called a time out three minutes later with the score at 10-2 Rams’ advantage.

North Harrison loses Conference opener to Scottsburg PDF Print E-mail

 

Saturday evening, Nov. 19, 2011 the Warriorettes hosted their toughest opponent of the 2011-2012 season yet as the North Harrison Lady Cougars paid a visit to the Charles E. Meyer Gymnasium. Both teams were undefeated entering the game, and it was a much anticipated Mid-Southern Conference matchup.

Community Foundation welcomes three new members to its Board of Directors PDF Print E-mail

The Scott County Community Foundation has welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors, announced chairman Joe Wolf. Pat Bridge, Barbara Broady and Lisa Conder all begin their three-year term in October.
Pat has been employed for AFLAC for 32 years. She is a member of First Christian Church and enjoys painting and traveling. She has one daughter, Pamela (Roger) Mosley; four grandchildren, Ryan Payne, Eric Payne, Laura Cox and Alan Mosley; and nine great-grandchildren.
