A father who owes $32,864.37 in back child support is being sought by law enforcement agencies.
Larrie M. Knight, 52, reportedly lives in Chicago Heights, Il. He was charged in late August with nonsupport of a dependent, a Class C felony.
The investigation into the case was conducted by Steve Wollmann, chief investigator with the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office.
Wollmann related that Knight had been ordered on December 8, 2000, to pay $60 per week for child support. As of August 26 of this year, the amount still owed by Knight was over $30,000. In February, 2010, the father apparently paid $9.75 for child support, but that was reportedly the only payment Wollmann could unearth. Knight has yet to have the arrest warrant issued for him served. Bail in the matter has been set at $20,000 by corporate surety bond or $4,000 cash.
