Semi Crash Thursday morning Closes Interstate 65 North Bound PDF Print E-mail

 

At approximately 6:48 AM Thursday morning, troopers responded to a crash involving a semi-tractor and trailer near the Ten Mile Marker, Sellersburg, in Clark County. When troopers began their investigation they discovered a yellow 1999 International semi-tractor pulling an empty trailer was travelling North on Interstate 65 when near the Ten Mile Marker the driver, Richard S. Wilson, 43, from Smyrna, TN stated he drifted off of the road on the East side of Interstate 65. The driver stated he was unable to get back on the roadway resulting in the semi-tractor and trailer he was driving rolling over on its side. The driver, Richard S. Wilson sustained a slight injury to his left arm and was placed out of driving service for ten hours due to a log book violation.

Police Seeking Help on Several Burglaries in Scott County PDF Print E-mail

Within the last couple of months, homes, outbuilding and automobiles around the Hardy Lake area of Scott County, (northeast Scott County), have been getting burglarized. Within this time there have been seven burglaries/thefts alone. Within the last month there have been two major burglaries. One of the burglaries on Whitsitt Road had a Yanmar tractor, Craftsman lawn mower and an Encore “Zero Turn” lawn mower taken. Along with the tractor and mowers a power washer, garden tiller and numerous other hand tools were taken. Another recent burglary literally just around the corner from the Whitsitt Road address on Peacock Road had several guns, money and jewelry taken.

 

Investigators at the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg are seeking to talk to anyone who may have information on the burglaries or the stolen property. Anyone with information should contact the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg at 1-800-872-6743 or outside of Indiana at

812-246-5424. A complete list of the items taken from the burglaries mentioned is attached to this news release.

Items Taken In Burglaries in Scott County

 

These items were taken from residence on Whitsitt Road.

1. Yanmar tractor, 1510 D, three cycle, diesel, green and yellow.

2. Craftsman mower, 46” mowing deck, green.

3. Encore Prowler, zero turn mower, Model # 61 K 650 P, orange.

4. Coleman trailer, Packhorse II, wooden side rails.

- Items on the trailer that are missing.  Corn knife, tree saw, rakes, two garden hoes, new yellow nylon rope, plastic ties, tree pruners, hand pruners, spade hatchet, wire, tarp turn buckles, hand trowel.

5. Honda tiller, Model # FG 100 A.

6. Power washer.

7. Tool Box - Items inside tool box included the following; Hammer, 15/16 socket and ratchet, 15/16 wrench, several different sizes of open face, crescent and allen wrenches, pliers, screw drivers, wire, wire cutters.

8. Trash Pump.

9. Wheel barrow.

10. Battery charger.

11. Vise.

12. Fuel can, five gallon, yellow.

13. Fuel can, 5 gallon, blue.

14. Snow shovel, green handle.

15. Six new aluminum dome shaped lights.

16. Two sets of lawn mower blades, fit Encore mower.

17. Lawn tools, battery and electric cord, orange.

These items were taken from the residence on Peacock Road.

1. Remington, Model 1100, 20 gauge, wood stock.

2. Mossberg, Model 9200, 12 gauge, wood stock.

3. Ruger, Model 1022, .22 caliber, wood stock, Cemons scope.

4. Ruger, .45 caliber, pistol, stainless steel, with a black holster and second magazine.

5. Plastic zip lock bag containing approximately $300.00 in coins.

6. Silver dollar, (engraved on the coin “Amanda”).

8. Half karat diamond.

9. Numerous, necklaces, bracelets, ear rings and hair berets.

Partially-clothed man allegedly injured by woman who stole cash, pants PDF Print E-mail

Austin police are still investigating an apparent strong-arm robbery of a half-clothed man that occurred on August 27 on the city’s north side.
According to information released by Austin Police Chief Donald Spicer, Patrolman Greg Green and Reserve Officer Bobby Cravens were dispatched to a residence on Bank Street to investigate a report of a naked Hispanic male found inside the home.
