ASSE seeking local families to host cultural exchange students

ASSE International Student Exchange Programs, in cooperation with the local high school, is looking for local families to host boys and girls between the ages of 15 to 18 from a variety of countries: Norway, Denmark, Spain, Italy and Japan – just to name a few.

From businesses to education, from non-profits to government and civil servants, and from churches to the media, groups within the community will receive specific prayer during New Albany’s National Day of Prayer commemoration outside the City-County Building on Thursday, May 2.
Borden boys’ basketball championship team recognized at the Statehouse
State Representatives Rhonda Rhoads (R-Corydon) and Steve Davisson (R-Salem) presented a resolution on the House floor on Tuesday honoring the Borden High School boys’ basketball team for winning the 2012-2013 state title.
The Edwardsville Gateway Cleanup Committee along with the Floyd County Solid Waste District and the Floyd County Stormwater Department would like to announce the winner of the Edwardsville Gateway Cleanup poster contest. Halle Nawman of Highland Hills Middle School was chosen over 20 other entries.
