HCCF Announces Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Recipient PDF Print E-mail

Jared Eichmiller of Corydon has been named the Harrison County Community Foundation 2013 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient.  He will receive full tuition to the Indiana college of his choice and a $900 yearly stipend for required books and equipment.  Jared will pursue a BA in Biochemistry to fulfill his Pre-Med Curriculum.

The Night of the Future Stars, the premier event of roundball activities of the Kentucky Derby Festival will kick off at Floyd Central this year with some of the top basketball recruits in the country. On Thursday night, April 18th, 7:00 PM basketball fans will get a glimpse of future stars for our favorite teams on Floyd Central High School’s court.  The Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County is pleased to be the title sponsor of this official Kentucky Derby Festival event to be held in southern Indiana.

EHS tennis team beats Corydon, EHS baseball team 0-2 PDF Print E-mail

The Eastern High School girls’ tennis team started the spring with a win over Mid Southern Conference rival Corydon, 4-1.
Krista Roberts won the number one singles position against Kayla Uhl,  6-2, 6-1.
Halie Mueller was the last one off the courts with a win in her number three singles position against Lillian Kopsolias; 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.
