Things spin out of control for FC in loss to Lady Toppers
The first semi-final at last Friday’s Floyd Central Shootout featuring the host Lady Highlanders and Louisville Presentation was a game of runs. Presentation started strong, but gave way to FC in the middle portion of the game before rallying late to take the 64-61 win. The Lady Toppers led 23-17 at the end of the first quarter, but FC went on a 19-2 run to take control of the game. Riley Kaiser sparked the run with a three to start the second quarter.
Four players score in double figures as FC throttles Crawford
The Floyd Central Lady Highlanders looked like a well-oiled machine in their quarterfinal matchup last Thursday in the FC Shootout. Crawford County kept the score close for eight minutes, trailing 14-11, but Floyd cranked up the defensive pressure and put the dial on cruise control in an 86-35 win.
Eastern wins FC Shootout, Lady Highlanders finish third
After knocking off the second ranked team in Class 2A in the semi-finals of last week’s Floyd Central Shootout, the fifth ranked Lady Musketeers didn’t stay in celebration mode for long. They put the win behind then and handled business, knocking off Louisville Presentation xx-xx in the championship game.
On December 20, 2011 at approximately 3:54 p.m., the New Albany Police Department received a call regarding a crash involving a pedestrian on Grant Line Road near Jolissaint Ave. Due to the severity of the injuries to the pedestrian, the Floyd County CART Team was called to the scene to assist with the investigation.
On December 21, 2011 at approximately 4:50 p.m. the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department received a call regarding an injury crash at US 150 and Old Vincennes Road in Floyds Knobs. Emergency Responders arrived to find one occupant in the two-vehicle crash had been ejected from a vehicle. The Floyd County Combined Accident Reconstruction Team (CART) was also called to assist with the investigation.
