The Salem Lions come into their home opener after a close lost to Silver Creek with, making the Lions   1- 1. The Lions hosted the North Harrison Cougars, who were undefeated after a big win against Corydon. In a game that came down to the final minute, the Cougars won, 33-30.

A man who had served as head librarian for Scott County libraries has been charged with the theft of over $40,000 in funds from the Tyson Library in Versailles.
