The second annual Pal Wow festival will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 17.
Festivities will be held all day in Palmyra’s Buffalo Trace Park and will conclude at 8:30 p.m. with a firework show over the lake.
Beginning at 10 a.m. at least seven local bands will begin performing by the beach house.

Charlestown too much for NH PDF Print E-mail

Leaving from Charlestown heading to Ramsey to cheer on the Pirates, Pirate Nation had some difficulty as some fans found themselves stuck on I-265 about the same time the Sherman Minton Bridge in New Albany was deemed unsafe and closed. Fans finally were able to get through the traffic tie up and able to travel safely to Ramsey to proudly cheer on their Pirates. Fans were rewarded for their travel adventure as Charlestown played hard on both sides of the ball and took a 19-6 first quarter lead and sailed to the 47-13 Mid Southern Conference win over the homestanding Cougars of North Harrison.

Auditions for children...FC and NA theatres “A Christmas Carol, the musical” PDF Print E-mail

Floyd Central and New Albany High School theatre departments are once again teaming up to present the theatrical event of the fall season.   “A Christmas Carol, the Musical!,”  was a sellout smash hit when Floyd Central presented the show several years ago and directors Chris Bundy, from F.C.H.S. and David Longest, from N.A.H.S., both in their final year before retirement, have decided the show is the perfect selection for their students and the community to enjoy as the beginning of the 2011 holiday season.

Kentuckiana Trading to celebrate grand opening September 17 PDF Print E-mail

If you are one of the millions of people that are addicted to the Auction shows on TV, then you are going to be excited to hear that Kentuckiana Trading’s Grand Opening is September 17th.     Kentuckiana Trading is Kentucky and Indiana’s largest public auction house and consignment showroom, and is located just 25 minutes North of Louisville Kentucky in Borden, Indiana.    Along with the Grand Opening on the 17th the  Crusade for Children car show (contact Kentuckiana Trading for entry registration), car wash, and peddlers market will be taking place in the parking lot of the massive facility.   The Auctions will be at 7pm on the first and third Thursday of every month beginning October 6.   “We will be hosting our auctions every Thursday as soon as possible” says Owner Brandon Koetter.  Brandon also says “it is just like the auction shows on TV only bigger, and we encourage people to come down to be a part of the auction, whether buying or selling”.   Just like on TV, this auction house sells a very wide range of items.
