Twelve students from Highland Hills Middle School were selected to take part in the Southeastern Indiana Honor Band last month. The honor band is a unique opportunity for the top 7th, 8th and 9th grade band students from middle and high schools across the southeastern region of the state to collaborate and put on a concert for the public.
Borden defeated South Central on Friday night 76-65 to win their second conference game in a week and improve to 5-0 for the season. They had their third conference game Saturday night against Crothersville.
The Borden boys’ basketball team has made deep runs in the state tournaments and won conference championships in recent seasons, but the one thing Doc Nash and the Brave program had never been able to do is win the First Harrison Bank Holiday Tournament.
Congressman Todd Young says it’s time to change brokenness in Washington
The calender pages are turning and 9th District Congressman Todd Young has almost served a full year in Washington. He recently participated in a phone interview with Green Banner Publications to discuss his first 365 days. He also talked about why it’s important for voters to send him back in November of 2012 to continue his work in trying to change Washington.
