Five FC Orchestra students named all state PDF Print E-mail

Five music students from Floyd Central High School performed in Fort Wayne last Saturday with the Indiana All-State Honors High School Orchestra.  Juniors John McCaffrey, Gunther Knotts, and Liam Flanigan; sophomore Peter Didelot, and senior David Kuo will be part of the orchestra, which is the final attraction at the Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA) state professional development conference.  The students had to submit extensive audition recordings in October, and were selected from a pool of applicants from across the state.

North Harrison has little trouble repeating as sectional champs PDF Print E-mail

After the celebratory team photos had been taken and after the nets at Corydon Central High School had been trimmed, North Harrison girls basketball coach Missy Voyles was reflecting on the significance of winning another sectional championship when she spotted a folded wad of three $1 bills laying on the basketball court. She tried – unsuccessfully – to find the money’s rightful owner and wound up – begrudgingly – pocketing the found loot.

Boys will begin sectional play on Tuesday night PDF Print E-mail

The IHSAA held the 107th annual tournament pairings show on Sunday afternoon and a total of 399 teams were drawn and placed into brackets. The IHSAA boy’s basketball state tournament was presented by the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever.
