The American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) proudly announces the winners of the 70th annual Leadership in History Awards, the most prestigious recognition for achievement in the preservation and interpretation of state and local history. This year, AASLH is proud to confer sixty national awards honoring people, projects, exhibits, books, and organizations.    “The Leadership in History Awards is AASLH’s highest distinction and the winners represent the best in the field,” said Trina Nelson Thomas, AASLH Awards Chair and Director, Stark Art & History Venue, Stark Foundation. “This year, we are pleased to distinguish each recipient’s commitment and innovation to the interpretation of history, as well as their leadership for the future of state and local history.”

Yard Sale to clear out Kentucky Derby Festival items PDF Print E-mail

The Kentucky Derby Festival will hold its 14th annual Yard Sale on Friday and Saturday, June 12 and 13, at the KDF office at 1001 South Third Street in Old Louisville. The sale will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday. The Yard Sale will feature many items including event t-shirts, Derby Festival Pins, posters from years past, glassware, Christopher Radko collector's ornaments, and other pieces that span the Festival's history.
