•Tuesday, July 28, from 2 to 7 p.m. and also on Monday, August 3, and Tuesday, August 4, both from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Austin Elementary cafeteria: Apply for textbook assistance and free or reduced price meals. Parents or legal guardians need to bring the following to apply: Food Stamp number or TANF case number, if applicable. The number off the Hoosier Works Card will not be accepted. Applicant should contact his/her caseworker to obtain the correct number before coming to the sign-up if correct number is not known. If Food Stamp or TANF case number is not applicable, have names of all household members, total income of each household member by bringing check stubs, etc., and applicant’s social security number.
IF APPLICATION IS NOT RECEIVED PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, AUGUST 10, PARENTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MEAL CHARGES INCURRED.
Pre-Registration for Students NEW to District 1 this Fall
Parents/legal guardians are asked to bring any school records, withdrawal forms or grade reports from the child’s former school.
Pre-registration is scheduled for new students:
•Monday, August 3: New students in sixth, seventh or eighth grades from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the middle school office.
•Monday, August 3: New ninth to 12th grades from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the high school office.
•Tuesday, August 4: New preschoolers and kindergartners who did not sign up at April or May registrations and new first to fifth graders, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the elementary cafeteria.
Textbook, Meal Payments
•Monday, August 3: Sixth grade from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the middle school office.
•Tuesday, August 4: Kindergartners to fifth graders from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at elementary cafeteria.
•Tuesday, August 4: 11th and 12th grades from 8 to 11 a.m. and from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at high school office.
?Tuesday, August 4: 7th and 8th grades from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at middle school office.
•Wednesday, August 5: 9th and 10th grades from 8 to 11 a.m. and from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at high school office.
•$50 for all kindergartners and Prosser Technical School students.
•$100 for all first through 12th grade students.
All middle school and high school students will have their pictures taken for their identification cards when they pay for books.
NOTE: District 1 textbooks may be paid with a valid Visa and Mastercard, cash, check or money order. Checks and money orders should be made to Scott County School District 1.
Meal money should be paid the first day of school, August 10. Breakfast is 85 cents per day for preschool and grades kindergarten through fifth grade and $1 per day for grades six to 12. Lunch is $1.50 per day for preschool through fifth grade and $1.75 per day for grades six to 12.
